OOOOWWWWW!!!! It really hurts!!!!
Just kidding...he really is OK...especially after Nana called and said he could get a new Nintendo DS game!!! =)
Saturday evening I had the wonderful opportunity to sit in the ER for five hours with Andrew!!! I knew with 3 boys that we would have our share of ER visits, but so far they have all come from Andrew!! Unfortunately, he may have my luck in the injury department!
I was watering the flowers and bushes out in front of the house around 7:30, when Matthew comes from the backyard and says, "Mom, something is bad wrong with Andrew's arm...he fell on the trampoline!" Well, I took one look at his arm and knew there was no question we had to go to the ER. We thought maybe it was dislocated, but he was in a LOT of pain!!! He couldn't bend or move it at all. So Andrew and I headed to the hospital and were greeted by MANY, MANY other sick and injured waiting in the lounge area of the ER. Oh joy!! After a very long time waiting, they finally got us back and did an xray and confirmed he fractured his ulna (the outside bone of the arm.) He has a temporary cast and will get the real one on Tuesday morning when the orthopedic office reopens. He will be in that for 6 weeks! So there goes another soccer season for the poor boy! He has been to four practices but hasn't even played one game yet. He was disappointed as you can imagine. I told him last night while we were waiting forever that if he wanted attention he didn't have to keep getting hurt!! I would gladly spoil him without him breaking another bone!!!!=) Good thing we have trusting neighbors or one might get suspicious of just what goes on in the Ice household with all these broken bones!=)

Andrew, I certainly don't think a broken elbow is worth it in order to get a Ninetnedo DS!!!! But now that you will have a cast on your arm, maybe it will get you out of various chores around the house, piano practice and what ever else you don't want to do. But then again, probably not knowing your mother as I do. Love ya buddy and you take care. Papa A
Dear Papa A,
There is never an excuse good enough to get out of piano practice - even a broken arm! Ha ha!
I hope you get better soon Andrew! Love you!
