Fort Fun

Why is making a fort so much fun??? I remember my sister and I building forts under the pool table in our basement growing up! We would bring in lamps and sleeping bags and toys, etc. The older boys built a fort the other night after school but had to tear it down for bedtime. Ever since then, Luke has been asking for another one. So today I made one for him and Emilee, knowing it would not last long for two reasons: 1)Emilee would tear it down and 2) interest would be short-lived!! I was correct on both counts!!:) I managed to snap a few quick shots while things were still in tact.

That looks like such a fun fort! They are short lived, but the kids always enjoy them!

Forts are the coolest! What a nice mom to build it for them. I usually give them the blankets and tell them to go at it! I love Emilee's big smile. Nana and Papa said to say "hi"

Forts are so fun!! My kids have built such fun forts in the past, but with Spencer they don't last long and the girls get so upset with him :) We ahd our fort area taken away because of moving, but we bought a little tent to make up for it and it's been so much fun. Thanx.

Cute pictures! I remember those forts under the pool table at your house. You had the coolest basement for playing in.

I love Emilee's room! Did you do the painting? You are a pretty good fort maker too! :)

Kelley,
Scott was so kind to take the time used his math and construction skills to lay out and tape the pattern and my friend came and painted it for me including all the cute flowers and swirls.

My girls love forts, too, and would gladly eat, sleep and play all day in them if allowed : ) By the way, I agree with Kelly that Emilee's room looks adorable!
