Spider Bite!!

Last night Matthew came out of bed to tell me he had something on his leg he wanted to show me. Needless to say, seeing his leg as pictured above, I let out a gasp!! I had no idea he even had a bite let alone that it looked like this. I put some anti-itch creme on it and sent him to bed. I then got on the computer and googled spider bites and found some very nasty pictures and Scott found a video that I truly could not handle watching! It wigged me out about spiders even more than I already am!! We do have alot of LARGE ones out here in the middle of the corn fields!:) So he went to school this morning and I got a call around 12:00 and the secretary said it looked pretty bad and they had changed the band aid several times and it was very hot to the touch. I made an appt to see the doctor this afternoon. The nurse gasped when she saw it too!:) Made me feel better for my reaction! The doctor confirmed it was a spider bite, measured it (5cm by 5cm), gave us some antibiotic creme and said to keep an eye on it for the next several days. I think it is time to set some bombs and kill those nasty things!! What do you think????:)

Oh, yucky, Michelle!! I am a definite spider-freak. Hopefully the "stuff" will get it cleared up! I say, "Get the bombs, Girl!!!"

Here and I was worried about all the nasty cobwebs in my basement! We have a bomb kit...I think we shall use it! Hope the itching goes away soon!!!

I believe it was YOU who did not want any of those uguly hedgeballs/apples I offered you when we were there last week. You thought they were too ugly to have around the house!!! There is no guarantee they work to keep spiders away but you may want to have Scott go to the golf course where I picked them up. Love ya, Dad

Michelle,
I know hedgeapples are nasty looking, but they really do work! We don't have spiders hardly at all!!! We put them in places where people won't see them such as the garage, behind end tables, etc.

OOOO!!! I hate spiders, well for that matter any insect. Anyway, you might check online to see what will keep them at bay (after you bomb them)that is natural. ex: Peppermint oil is used to keep mice away and it works. I was thinking it helped with spiders too!! At least the oil's smell good and if the kids get ahold of it it won't hurt them.

I have never seen a bite like that. Poor little guy! I absolutely hate spiders and am so thankful for my brave boys who kill them for their mom. Hope the bombing works! :)
